Learn how to track custom audiences with contextual properties.*
This article details how to track custom audiences with unique user traits identified during runtime of your app.
What are contextual properties?
Contextual properties are unique user traits organically identified during the runtime of your app, like users who match a seasonal campaign or users who belong to a specific subscription model.
They are transient, only available within a current device session, and may vary per device. They can be changed mid-session, and are not stored long-term. This is also to avoid storing potentially sensitive GDPR related data in our system.
How do I add and use contextual properties?
Contextual property can be shared by Software Development Kit (SDK) in string (characters), number, boolean (true/false), and date format. They will show up as a list on your Tribe details page under the Parameters selector menu for selection during the Tribe configuration stage.
How do I manage contextual properties?
mtribes has a limit of 50 contextual user properties per Space at any one time. Once the maximum number is reached, you’ll need to remove one from the list to make room for a new property.
